Rare footage of Napoleon Hill speaking on the main tenants of his timeless, best selling book, “Think and Grow Rich”. Napoleon Hill is one of the fathers of the success movement which started gaining popularity in the middle of the 20th Century. These psychological principles predate date modern times and were only recognized by the very successful, wealthy, or those willing to open their minds to a new way of thinking.

These principles have been studied, followed, and imitated by many other respected leaders in the field of finding business success through forming an attitude and way of thinking and living your life that is conducive to attracting and creating success and wealth in your life.

These methods were once considered very radical, controversial, or just dismissed as being baloney. Through the advent of technology and over the course of time, however, scientist, scholars, and respected leaders have come to appreciate the wisdom and validity that lies within shaping ones’ destiny through the power of the mind and attitude.

“Think and Grow Rich” is more than a motivational work promising riches by wishing and hoping; it is a practical manual with exercises, examples, and evidence of how carring out certain actions and behavior patterns can have a dramatic affect on the outcome of your life and the success you experience in a lifetime.

Important themes such as family, community service, hard work, and itellectual and spiritual pursuits are covered. The power of your imagination and how to stimulate your own creativity and attract wealth are revealed in this wonderful book.

Similar pioneers in this movement are Charles F.Haanel, Andrew Carnegie, W.F. Stone, Earl Nightingale, Bob Proctor, Norman Vincent Peale, Jim Rohn, Anthony Robbins, Rhonda Byrne, and others. These principles may seem basic at one’s first exposure, but it is in actually carrying out the principles that is the challenge.

Some of the principles are traced back to ancient and Biblical times and are the inspiration for many other modern publications, such as “The Secret”. Napoleon Hill was greatly inspired by “The Master Key System” by Charles F. Haanel who Rhonda Byrnes’, “The Secret” is largely inspired by.

Napoleon Hill became an apprentice of sorts to US Steel magnate and founder, Andrew Carnegie. Hill was commissioned to interview and discover the secret to wealth according to the most successful men of the time; including Woolworth, Ford, Rockefeller, and many more over the span of twenty years or more.

Through his findings he composed one of the best selling books of all time in the genre of personal and business success. This book and Napoleon Hill himself are still revered today as a beacon of what it means to succeed at business and in life.

Do you ever think about the POWER of taking ACTION?

It got me thinking about Acting on your PROMPTINGS or your GUT FEELING, or just ,doing things NOW.

Their is such a power in acting on a prompting or acting on a gut feeling. Making a Decision. Not a hasty or decision but a DECISION that I am going to do this now.

In business, sometimes their is no tomorrow. You have to make decisions on the spot. You know when decisions are right.

See more about this in the video I recorded about…

Avoiding Procrastination…
Acting on the Spot…
Seizing Opportunity…

You have heard about how a split second decisions was the reason a business boomed or maybe even saved a life.

If you are prepared, well-researched, educated and know a good deal, opportunity, and chance when you see one YOU MUST TAKE IT.

This is so key especially in Network Marketing.

Think about it!

WHAT YOU WILL DO, YOUR TEAM WILL DO!

Did it take you 6 months to mull, to ponder, to think, to contemplate, to reevaluate, to consider joining your current company?

Are you seeing the EXACT same pattern in your current prospects?

Because what you SEND OUT to the universe, you get back.

How about when you see a training that has such value to your success in your internet business.

Do you make excuses? “Oh that won’t work for me” “That guru is full of it” “He’s probably just renting that car…”

Or do you take a leap of faith. Not a blind leap of irresponsibility.

If you are investing in yourself, living in the now, understanding that there isn’t a tomorrow. That is the philosophy that will take you to your dreams.

If you are doing the opposite and not investing in yourself, not living in the now, and not understanding there is no tomorrow. That philosophy will leave you broke…

I guarantee you’ll attract that in your team members & clients.

You must take educated, calculated risks that say…

“Heck, I gotta make this work HELL or HIGH WATER!”

That type of commitment and passion in life and in business will cultivate success. It’ll attract Do’ers into your organization (ie: not thinkers).

I’m looking for three people to step up and say “Hey Mark, I am ready…” and to
stop procrastinating on their businesses and their goals and their dreams.

When you are truly serious about achieving your dreams and taking your Network Marketing career further and want to be coached by the best… give me a call.

715-563-1832

To Your Success,

Mark Nelson

==> P.S. I’m not kidding you. All it takes is a decision. This system is so
attractive that you can effectively market it online, offline, to Aunt Ann, Realtor Rick, and MLM Mary.

They told me the big black Lab’s name was Reggie, as I looked at him lying in his
pen.. The shelter was clean, no-kill, and the people really friendly. I’d only been
in the area for six months, but everywhere I went in the small college town, people
were welcoming and open. Everyone waves when you pass them on the street.

But something was still missing as I attempted to settle in to my new life here, and
I thought a dog couldn’t hurt. Give me someone to talk to. And I had just seen
Reggie’s advertisement on the local news. The shelter said they had received
numerous calls right after, but they said the people who had come down to see him
just didn’t look like “Lab people,” whatever that meant. They must’ve thought I did.

But at first, I thought the shelter had misjudged me in giving me Reggie and his
things, which consisted of a dog pad, bag of toys almost all of which were brand new
tennis balls, his dishes, and a sealed letter from his previous owner. See, Reggie
and I didn’t really hit it off when we got home. We struggled for two weeks (which
is how long the shelter told me to give him to adjust to his new home). Maybe it was
the fact that I was trying to adjust too. Maybe we were too much alike !

For some reason, his stuff (except for the tennis balls — he wouldn’t go anywhere
without two stuffed in his mouth) got tossed in with all of my other unpacked boxes.
I guess I didn’t really think he’d need all his old stuff, that I’d get him new
things once he settled in. But it became pretty clear pretty soon that he wasn’t
going to.

I tried the normal commands the shelter told me he knew — ones like “sit” and “stay”
and “come” and “heel,” and he’d follow them — when he felt like it. He never really
seemed to listen when I called his name . Sure, he’d look in my direction after the
fourth or fifth time I said it, but then he’d just go back to doing whatever. When
I’d ask again, you could almost see him sigh and then grudgingly obey.

This just wasn’t going to work. He chewed a couple shoes and some unpacked boxes. I
was a little too stern with him and he resented it, I could tell. The friction got
so bad that I couldn’t wait for the two weeks to be up, and when it was, I was in
full-on search mode for my cell phone amid all of my unpacked stuff. I remembered
leaving it on the stack of boxes for the guest room, but I also mumbled, rather
cynically, that the “damn dog probably hid it on me.”

Finally I found it, but before I could punch up the shelter’s number, I also found
his pad and other toys from the shelter…I tossed the pad in Reggie’s direction. He
sniffed it and wagged his tail , some of the most enthusiasm I’d seen since
bringing him home. But then I called, “Hey, Reggie, you like that? Come here and
I’ll give you a treat.” Instead, he sort of glanced in my direction — maybe “glared”
is more accurate — and then gave a discontented sigh and Flopped down with his
back to me. Well, that’s not going to do it either, I thought. And I punched in the
shelter phone number.

But I hung up when I saw the sealed envelope. I had completely forgotten about that! “Okay, Reggie,” I said out loud, ” Let’s see if your previous owner has any
advice.”

____________

To Whoever Gets My Dog:

Well, I can’t say that I’m happy you’re reading this — a letter I told the shelter
could only be opened by Reggie’s new owner. I’m not even happy writing it. If you’re
reading this, it means I just got back from my last car ride with my Lab after
dropping him off at the shelter. He knew something was different. I have packed up
his pad and toys before and set them by the back door before a trip, but this time ,
it’s like he knew something was wrong. And something is wrong…which is why I have to try to make it right. So let me tell you about my Lab in the hopes that it will
help you bond with him and him with you.

First, he loves tennis balls. The more the merrier. Sometimes I think he’s part
squirrel, the way he hordes them. He usually always has two in his mouth, and he
tries to get a third in there. Hasn’t done it yet. Doesn’t matter where you throw
them, he’ll bound after it, so be careful - really don’t do it by any roads.. I made
that mistake once, and it almost cost him dearly.

Next, commands. Maybe the shelter staff already told you, but I’ll go over them
again: Reggie knows the obvious ones — “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “heel.” He knows
hand signals: “back” to turn around and go back when you put your hand straight up;
and “over” if you put your hand out right or left. “Shake” for shaking water off,
and “paw” for a high-five. He does “down” when he feels like lying down — I bet
you could work on that with him some more. He knows “ball” and “food” and “bone” and “treat” like nobody’s business. I trained Reggie with small food treats. Nothing
opens his ears like little pieces of hot dog.

Feeding schedule: twice a day, once about seven in the morning, and again at six in
the evening. Regular store-bought stuff; the shelter has the brand.

He’s up on his shots. Call the clinic on 9th Street and update his info with yours;
they’ll make sure to send you reminders for when he’s due. Be forewarned: Reggie
hates the vet. Good luck getting him in the car — I don’t know how he knows when
it’s time to go to the vet, but he knows.

Finally, give him some time. I’ve never been married, so it’s only been Reggie and
me for his whole life. He’s gone everywhere with me, so please include him on your
daily car rides if you can. He sits well in the backseat, and he doesn’t bark or
complain. He just loves to be around people, me most especially. Which means that
this transition is going to be hard, with him going to live with someone new.

And that’s why I need to share one more bit of info with you…..

His name’s not Reggie. I don’t know what made me do it, but when I dropped him off
at the shelter, I told them his name was Reggie. He’s a smart dog, he’ll get used to
it and will respond to it, of that I have no doubt. But I just couldn’t bear to give
them his real name. For me to do that, it seemed so final, that handing him over to
the shelter was as good as me admitting that I’d never see him again. And if I end
up coming back, getting him, and tearing up this letter, it means everything’s fine.
But if someone else is reading it, well …. well it means that his new owner should
know his real name. It’ll help you bond with him. Who knows, maybe you’ll even
notice a change in his demeanor if he’s been giving you problems.

His real name is “Tank”. Because that is what I drive.

Again, if you’re reading this and you’re from the area, maybe my name has been on
the news. I told the shelter that they couldn’t make “Reggie” available for adoption
until they received word from my company commander. See, my parents are gone, I have no siblings, no one I could’ve left Tank with … and it was my only real request of
the Army upon my deployment to Iraq, that they make one phone call to the shelter
… in the “event” … to tell them that Tank could be put up for adoption. Luckily,
my colonel is a dog guy, too, and he knew where my platoon was headed. He said he’d
do it personally. And if you’re reading this, then he made good on his word.

Well, this letter is getting downright depressing, even though, frankly, I’m just
writing it for my dog. I couldn’t imagine if I was writing it for a wife and kids
and family … but still, Tank has been my family for the last six years, almost as
long as the Army has been my family.

And now I hope and pray that you make him part of your family and that he will
adjust and come to love you the same way he loved me.

That unconditional love from a dog is what I take with me to Iraq as an inspiration
to do something selfless, to protect innocent people from those who would do
terrible things … and to keep those terrible people from coming over here. If I
have to give up Tank in order to do it, I am glad to have done so. He is my example
of service and of love. I hope I honored him by my service to my country and
comrades.

All right, that’s enough. I deploy this evening and have to drop this letter off at
the shelter. I don’t think I’ll say another good-bye to Tank, though. I cried too
much the first time. Maybe I’ll peek in on him and see if he finally got that third
tennis ball in his mouth.

Good luck with Tank. Give him a good home, and give him an extra kiss goodnight –
every night – from me.

Thank you, Paul Mallory

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I folded the letter and slipped it back in the envelope. Sure I had heard of Paul
Mallory, everyone in town knew him, even new people like me. Local kid, killed in
Iraq a few months ago, posthumously earning the Silver Star when he gave his life to
save three buddies. Flags had been at half-mast all summer.
I leaned forward in my chair and rested my elbows on my knees, staring at the dog.
“Hey, Tank,” I said quietly.
The dog’s head whipped up, his ears cocked and his eyes bright.
“C’mere boy.”
He was instantly on his feet, his nails clicking on the hardwood floor. He sat in
front of me, his head tilted, searching for the name he hadn’t heard in months.
“Tank,” I whispered.
His tail swished.
I kept whispering his name, over and over, and each time, his ears lowered, his eyes
softened, and his posture relaxed as a wave of contentment just seemed to flood him.
I stroked his ears, rubbed his shoulders, buried my face into his scruff and hugged
him.
“It’s me now, Tank, just you and me. Your old pal gave you to me.” Tank reached up
and licked my cheek. “So whatdaya say we play some ball?” His ears perked again.
“Yeah? Ball? You like that? Ball?” Tank tore from my hands and disappeared into the
next room. When he came back, he had three tennis balls in his mouth!
GOD WATCH OVER ALL THE MILITARY
and ya…I cried!
As you start your new business venture, whether your business is network marketing, a franchise, or some home-based business. The first thing everyone wants to do is to learn the how to of the business.
The truth of the matter is that you really need to establish your “Why” first. Why are you doing this business.
When I started my current and last venture, my “Why” was the first thing I wrote down. I needed to know why I was doing this when the times got tough and things were not going the way I wanted them to.
In network marketing it is so easy to say well this works for only some people. I am not the type to make this happen. Or whatever excuse you can come up with to help satisfy your ego.
When your “Why” is strong enough you will keep plowing through.
Here is My “Why”
So I can create the financial freedom for myself and my family so we never have to worry about money.
So I can provide the same lifestyle for my family that my parents created for me and my siblings.
So I can look in the mirror every day and be proud of the person I am.
So my wife never has to compromise when she is buying something for herself.
So I can buy a family compound on a lake or ocean for generations to come.
Now here is the million dollar question. What if your “Why?” I challenge you to dig deep and really develop you WHY so you keep going until you reach your goal.
This touched me today. I have always talked to my kids about leaving a legacy. Enjoy!
Leaving a Legacy: Principles to Live By by Jim Rohn
You know me, I am a philosopher. I love principles. Yes, actions are great and I talk about them regularly, but the important stuff is what lies underneath—the principles.
Here are what I consider to be the principles that we must commit to if we are to leave the legacy we desire:
Life is best lived in service to others. This doesn’t mean that we do not strive for the best for ourselves. It does mean that in all things we serve other people, including our family, co-workers and friends.
Consider others’ interests as important as your own. Much of the world suffers simply because people consider only their own interests. People are looking out for No. 1, but the way to leave a legacy is to also look out for others.
Love your neighbor even if you don’t like him. It is interesting that Jesus told us to love others. But he never tells us to like them. Liking people has to do with emotions. Loving people has to do with actions. And what you will find is that when you love them and do good by them, you will more often than not begin to like them.
Maintain integrity at all costs. There are very few things you take to the grave with you. The No. 1 thing is your reputation and good name. When people remember you, you want them to think, “She was the most honest person I knew. What integrity.” There are always going to be temptations to cut corners and break your integrity. Do not do it. Do what is right all of the time, no matter what the cost.
You must risk in order to gain. In just about every area of life you must risk in order to gain the reward. In love, you must risk rejection in order to ask that person out for the first time. In investing, you must place your capital at risk in the market in order to receive the prize of a growing bank account. When we risk, we gain. And when we gain, we have more to leave for others.
You reap what you sow. In fact, you always reap more than you sow—you plant a seed and reap a bushel. What you give you get. What you put into the ground then grows out of the ground. If you give love, you will receive love. If you give time, you will gain time. It is one of the truest laws of the universe. Decide what you want out of life and then begin to sow it.
Hard work is never a waste. No one will say, “It is too bad he was such a good, hard worker.” But if you aren’t they will surely say, “It’s too bad he was so lazy—he could have been so much more!” Hard work will leave a grand legacy. Give it your all on your trip around the earth. You will do a lot of good and leave a terrific legacy.
Don’t give up when you fail. Imagine what legacies would have never existed if someone had given up. How many thriving businesses would have been shut down if they quit at their first failure? Everyone fails. It is a fact of life. But those who succeed are those who do not give up when they fail. They keep going and build a successful life—and a legacy.
Don’t ever stop in your pursuit of a legacy. Many people have accomplished tremendous things later on in life. There is never a time to stop in your pursuit of a legacy. Sometimes older people will say, “I am 65. I’ll never change.” That won’t build a great life! No, there is always time to do more and achieve more, to help more and serve more, to teach more and to learn more. Keep going and growing that legacy!
These are core principles to live by if you want to become the kind of person who leaves a lasting legacy.
My wife Nancy sang and spoke at a treatment center for women yesterday. This is what she had to say on her blog.
We all get chances to give our lives away.
Today I had an opportunity to share bits of my story and sing some of my songs in a very unique setting. I sang to the residents at the Trempealeau County Health Center. Just to look into their eyes, see their tears and smiles, I knew they knew and I felt their connection.
I sang “Rock me Jesus” a song I wrote back in the 90’s when I was in one of the darkest places of my life. As a little girl, I would escape into the safety of heaven and Jesus would rock me all through the night, yet what I wanted was my momma to keep me safe from all harm.
Visiting with some of the wonderful woman afterwards gave me a renewed appreciation for life, healing, hope and grace. I was able to share some of my survival skills with them and encourage them to love themselves.
There are so many walking wounded in this world that need what you have to give. I challenge you to take that risk and bless someone today and just give your life away.
You can visit Nancy’s blog at http://blog.nancynelsonmusic.com
Most of us have heard of positive affirmations, goals or mission statements. If you really think back you do realize these work. So every year I have sat down and written my goals and what I want to achieve. That is until I joined Send Out Cards.
At a Treat Em Right seminar through Send Out Cards, I learned how to create my “I Am” statements. Your I Am Statements are your dreams, goals, and desires, all stated in the present.
This might sound funny but ever since I have remembered I have always said “I am a stud”. Now that might sound conceited but this is a tough world. We get knocked down every day. When I am going through a rough patch I always remember I am a stud. Changes my outlook everytime.
So recently I sat down and made my I Am statements for this year. I have borrowed some from my mentors that pertained to my life and I have created my own. I thought I would share them with everyone.
I am in God’s favor.
I am spiritually in tune.
I am a very successful, confident, extremely busy person who has something of incredible value in the market place.
I inspire people to live to their potential.
I am toned, stong, and in great shape.
I am a level 4 card sender.
I am helping others become senders of cards.
I am quickly building success units of three.
I am quickly building groups of 12 and showing others how to the same.
I am an inspirational and creative writer.
I am a best selling author.
I am an exceptional speaker.
I am passionate and entuhusiastic.
I am attracting the right people in my business.
I am attracting wealth in abundance.
I am financially independent.
I am playing a world wide game.
I am believing God for bigger and better things.
We are being assisted by God, being provided with special advantages and being given preferential treatment.
Everything I put my hands to prospers and succeeds.
We are enjoying our dream home on a lake.
We are living within 20 minutes of Sara and Michael.
We are as many vacations as we choose.
We are enjoying a romantic, passionate and happy marriage.
I am an Eagle.
I hope you enjoyed them. Now go make your own I Am Statements.
